Rachel Kaufman LMSW
Rachel Kaufman (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her MSW from New York University. She specializes in helping teens and adults navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, complex trauma, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. Rachel has a deep understanding of the unique struggles faced by individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, including those related to sexual identity and gender transitioning, and provides a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore and grow.
Rachel's therapeutic approach is holistic and strength-based, empowering clients to better understand themselves and build on their inherent strengths. She is committed to creating an environment where clients feel accepted, regardless of where they are in their personal journey. Her expertise includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and a focus on interpersonal relationships and mood disorders.
Rachel is particularly passionate about advocating for her clients within the LGBTQ+ community and addressing systemic issues they may face. She works to provide compassionate support, helping clients manage life transitions and improve executive functioning and life skills, fostering resilience and self-confidence along the way.
Rachel offers exclusively virtual therapy sessions, ensuring that her clients can access therapy in a flexible and convenient way, no matter where they are located. This virtual setting allows clients to engage in meaningful therapeutic work from the comfort of their own space.
